Here is a small experience sharing about studying foreign languages. I do have something to tell you about
I have been studying actively foreign languages for a last five years (PPC - http://www.englishpage.com/verbpage/presentperfectcontinuous.html )
It is English, and German for last half a year.
I started doing this because of my job and now it is also just for fun

For the best results you need to follow such rules:
1. Study everyday, half an hour, one hour, but everyday!
2. Do not think that your money will help you to transfer knowledge from teacher's head into yours. It is enough one hour a weak. Remaining time (and money) spent for a self education.
3. Surround you with more presence of a language which you are studying. If you watch some TV series during having a meal - watch them in foreign language. In any case there are nothing good in its plot or fantastic actors playing. But your brain still continue to study foreign language.
4. If you go to some vacation or business trip, try speaking on local language even if it is a trip to some country where people speaks well on English with theirs local language. Learn minimum words to be able ask about route or buy smth in a shop.

And additional recommendation is try to get language certification. Absence of such paper could be the only thing which prevents you from getting certain job abroad.

LSE- the main difference from other schools & courses is that your teachers are native speakers:) But i used to visit Oxford English Courses for 11 years
